To be approved you’ll need: valid AB business license, category ticket where applicable (gas fitter, journeyman electrician, master plumber, etc.), WCB Alberta clearance, $2M CGL insurance, and a clean Certn background check (we cover the $25).
No. You set your availability. Toggle on when you have capacity, off when you don’t. Many pros use HomeHands to fill their calendar between existing customers.
No. If a HomeHands customer favorites you, they come straight to you next time — through the app. We charge our commission on that job, but the relationship is yours.
They can’t. Payment is authorized before we dispatch you and captured to escrow when you start. If they dispute, our ops team mediates using your photos and job record. In the rare case of a legit dispute, we cover the loss — you still get paid.
Yes. Add crew members under your business account. Each needs their own Certn check and (where required) their own ticket.
Nothing. No monthly fee (unless you opt into $99/mo Pro after year-one). Just the completion commission.
GST calculated automatically on customer invoices. Annual T4A generated for you if you clear $500 CAD in a calendar year.
