HomeHands

How we vet every pro.

Uber-model marketplaces live or die on trust. Here’s the stack every HomeHands vendor passes before their first dispatch — and how we keep the bar up over time.

✔ Government ID + selfie

Verified via Stripe Identity. Real human, real name, real photo — matches every job dispatch.

✔ Certn criminal record check

Canadian, fast, and complete. We pay the $25. Failed checks = no dispatch, no exceptions. Re-run annually.

✔ Alberta trade license

Gas fitter, journeyman electrician, master plumber, pest control applicator — verified against AMA / Municipal Affairs before category activation.

✔ WCB Alberta clearance

Every vendor holds a valid WCB clearance letter. Expiry tracked. Auto-suspend on lapse.

✔ $2M commercial general liability

Broker letter or Canopy Connect. Verified insurance in force before dispatch. Auto-alerts at 60/30/7 days pre-expiry.

✔ Vehicle insurance

For mobile categories. Verified before dispatch.

✔ Vendor agreement

DocuSign — clear terms on service quality, dispute handling, safety, and customer protection.

✔ Ongoing quality bar

4.3★ minimum rolling rating to stay on the platform. Three complaints in 30 days = manual review. One serious safety incident = permanent removal.

The Show-up Guarantee

If a HomeHands pro doesn’t show for your booking within the ETA window (with reasonable buffer), we credit your account $50 and reschedule. If a job comes back defective within 60 days, we send someone back at no cost — or refund. Backed by our $5M umbrella policy and the HomeHands guarantee fund.
